Safety Kleen can work this several ways. With their solvent recirculators ,the standard Barr solve they normally put in parts washers, is collected, filtered, distilled and recycled. You have no idea how many times the fresh clean lookingsolvent you get back from them may have been used. Its a nice system. And...as you note they get rid of the waste sludge. My advice is to check with a discount tool company liked harbor freight. Right now you can get a 20 gallon UL listed, steel parts washer with electric pump for $69.95....or a 40 gallon one for $129. These are identical to what Safety clean uses/rents. Then buy some of the recirculating type solvents that are designed specifically for screen printers. These solvents are generally high flash point (meaning they evaporate slowly), are water soluable etc. They are designed for recirculation over long periods of time and have very low toxicity. Examples can be found from most chemical companies....but CCI comes to mind with chemicals like 910-tx, NW ink wash and T-6. These are all water soluable citrus based ink washes for recirculating parts cleaners. At that point you can then simply contract with safety clean (or numerous other companies) to remove your waste. They do that too. They may have minimum volumes/weights...so you may have to get a collection container. But with this method you get much more friendly and appropriate solvent products (and cheaper)...and you still can buy top notch waste removal service from safety clean. Ray | ||
