Douglas you make a very valid point, and to that effect some companies like Union Ink even point to the fact that there is little, to no evidence that waterbased inks are any better for the environment or worker safety than plastisol inks are...with maybe the exception of phlalate free inks.

Besides that, virtually all inks and emulsions are removed as solids from municipal water systems, since these are simple plastics.... its the solvents and other water soluble chemicals that pose the real problems to disposal.
