But as a born and bred Oregonian, and as I sit here writing this in my shirt that says "Save the pines, hug a tree".... I have to say I agree with both of you. Home are more eco friendly today, BUT, homes (at least the framing)can be built with metal stud frames. Our beautiful forest just down the street was recently clear cutted. You wouldn't believe the amount of waisted wood! It's just a crying shame. I'm all for the TOTAL use of the tree's they rip down. Also, I do not endorse ELF... good cause, but fight your cause in a POSITIVE way, not through destruction! ____________________
