Well, you are right, I did.. "since warming is not man made, and is in fact the sun, we're screwed, no matter what we do." Not true on the no matter what we do. If we slow or stop our emission of co2 into the atmosphere it will drastically slow the effects of global warming. If we take measures to increase reflectivity of the suns UV and IR rays on a large enough scale, it will stop or reverse any of the suns effects. I know reflective measures work. I coated our roof and it reduced the heat load by 50 degrees. It also reduced our utility bills by 35%. Now I am just one house but if every home and building in the world coated their roofs the net effect would range somewhere around 1 1/2 to 2 degrees reduction in solar heat absorption world wide. That is all we need to reform the ice packs and stop glacial melt down. So if you still believe nothing can be done, coat your roof anyway just to save 30% to 35% on your utility bill. That is money in your pocket. You can also quit mowing your lawn so much. Not only does that allow your lawn to absorb a higher amount of co2 and give off more oxygen but it saves you a ton of money on gas for the mower. You see I am too old to care if people screw up this world or not so I do things that are good for the environment mainly to save me money. I reduced my annual fuel consumption mainly to save over $7500.00 a year.
