"This is most likely one of the most important issues facing us today, and all some of these people have to do is post wisecracks and smart ass remarks" Well, I'm Irish so I am already Green and I am old enough that I will be dead before anyone figures out how to clean up the 100+ years of the industrial giants greed (I mean mess). Bottom line is in reality as long as it cost less to pollute the environment than it does not too... Now I say if we pass a world wide law (laws fix everything you know) that every roof in the world must be painted white or silver, we could reflect enough heat back into space to stop global warming in its tracks and actually start reforming the ice caps . But that is not going to happen because the uppity home owner associations would have a cow over destroying the "look" of the precious neighborer hoods. I also say we need to impose a hefty (and I mean HUGE) tax on people who drive more than 10 miles to work. If you want to work on the other side of town.. MOVE!! And for people who drive less than 5 miles to work or work at home, well give them all that tax money you got form the ones mentioned above. So if it sounds like I am being cynical, well maybe I am. I just find that most who claim to be green have higher emissions elsewhere in their lives that total cancels out any hopes of being green. Now for those who make every effort to reduce emissions and contaminates, and I mean every effort, I applaud you. So the next time you jump it that gas guzzler, ask yourself, do I really need to make this trip and could I do it on a moped at a 100-mpg? As for me, I have reduced my annual fuel consumption by over 2500 gallons per year.
