Man Pleads Guilty to Doughnut Truck Chase with Police By Bree'Ann Hildreth TOLEDO - An Illinois man who led police on a chase in eastern Iowa with a doughnut delivery truck has pleaded guilty. Frank Alvarado, of Moline, Ill., pleaded guilty Thursday in Tama County District Court to operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent and eluding police. He was arrested after he stole a doughnut delivery truck in Moline and led police on a high-speed chase on March 20. Prosecutors say that as part of a plea agreement, Alvarado was placed on two years probation and ordered to pay $1,375 in restitution to the Donut Delight Delivery company of Moline and more than $1,900 to the Tama County sheriff's office for damage to a patrol car, which collided with the doughnut truck when the chase ended in Toledo. | ||
