Hi again everyone! I'm currently known as Harry's PA Guinea Pig! He comes up with these ideas and has me test them out. He's got a really great one this time! Harry recently sent me a "new" mat to use to aid in drying my shirts. It takes the place of the silicone paper and works great! It's really nice, easy to clean, doesn't wrinkle (YES!) it's reusable AND WORKS WITH WHITE INK! That in it's self was a really neat idea, but it gets better. Next, Harry sent me a pad to put under the shirts to aid in reducing the drying time. I placed this on the press and used it under the drying shirts. I have dropped at least 1 minute off the drying time for dark shirts! I used to dry for 180 seconds, and now am doing 120 seconds. I have washed the heck out of some of the shirts and have not had any problems. I am going to experiment with dropping the time further to see what happens. Light shirts (no white ink) are down to 25 seconds, max! Now for the big news! Lazy person that I am, I have continued to use the pad under the shirts for both drying the ink and the pretreat. I am also still using the mat that he first sent me on top of the shirts to dry the ink. A COMBINATION OF THESE 2 ITEMS HAS PRODUCED SOME OF THE BEST SHIRTS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN OFF MY T-JET!! I'm not kidding folks! These imprints are clean, crisp, bright and absolutely wonderful! I reuse many of my images and when I started using a combo of the two items, the mat and the pad, I couldn't believe the difference! It was totally unexpected! No, I didn't get fresh ink, or any fresh pretreat! This is quite possibly the best thing since the new bulk ink systems! There is something about using the 2 items together that makes this work! The top drying pad in it's self is quite nice but the results due to the addition of the bottom pad quite took me by surprise! I've had a t-jet2 for about 2 years now and I can tell you, these are some awesome shirts! If you want to know more, give Harry a call! He know's more about how to get them then I do! and NO HARRY! You can't have mine back! Just tell Linda to cancel that call tag! Dorie Di Maria Mountainside Designs ____________________ Dorie Hurley Mountainside Designs | ||
