Honestly dude, I don't think there is any cheap solution to what you're looking for. It seems like everybody wants a low-priced out-of-the-box website that will sell shirts to your customers, make your phone ring off the hook, and just plain put money in your pocket. I'm looking for one of those too. I think you are going to have to spend some cash on some software AND someone to set it up. Or spend your time doing it. Or pay someone to do it. I think a person trades hours or money for a good website. SO you have to pay someone to run it, or run it yourself and spend a few hours every week doing it. A site that sells t-shirts is no good if internet customers don't know its there, and that a whole other can of worms. If I could pay $4k a year for a website that did everything I wanted it would be a steal. If I could pay someone $4k a year to run a website correctly that would also be a steal. But since I can't afford too, I trade my hours for hits, by searching for reciprocal links, forums to leave comments, registring with search engines, staying on top of search engine optimization (SEO) trends, etc. One of the hardest parts about it is that what works this year probably won't work next year. Robots and spiders can read a webpage almost like a human does, maybe better, so you can't just throw up "keywords" and get hits anymore. Staying up to date on SEO has become its own industry. Online catalogs and pricing can be ALOT of work. I think if you want real internet sales you should hire someone to do nothing but internet sales and webmastering. Or do it yourself. I think that it can be a massive sales tool, if you're willing to commit to it and do what it takes. I just started working on our website last month. In February our little website got more hits than it has in two years. And It's still a work in progress. No prices no click and buy, just a basic website. But after hours and hours of work, the phone is starting to ring a few times a week with people who found us on the internet. hopefully soon, after investing some more hours, I can start selling shirt on the site. Get on the interent and kick some ass, bro. Do it all the way he best you can. Give it all you got. I think its a big task but one that will pay off big, too. Just my 2 cents. | ||
