I've never used Adwords. I also believe that solid SEO is the foundation for good SE rankings. This includes choosing a unique focus for every page on a site and supporting this niche in every aspect of SEO on that page - from the page file name to the alt tags, etc. If your focus for a page isn't real unique (e.g.screen printing)you'll have a zillion competitors and getting a good rank will be tough... Do you use stats? I've learned a lot about my web visitors and what I need to improve on my site from mine. I installed Google Analytics (free) before reading this post.
