My site now ranks in the top ten for its content and I have never used any Google Ads to get it there or drive traffic. I see many of my competitors using Google ads all over the net, but my supply website (still in its second year) has surpassed them all in ranking like they were standing still so its seems to me like money wasted? I built my site on the foundation of good SEO (search engine optimization) from the code base up. Ranking drives traffic----Traffic drives sales. Paying for ads does not guarantee higher ranking, or for that matter "valuable traffic" Paying for people to visit your site via Adwords seems to me a serious waste of money as virtually all your click through's will be either competition clicking to drive us your costs, or people who accidentally click the links. The other 2% will be people who may be interested, and of that maybe .5% will be a potential customer who will only want 3 shirts with 5 colors on them. Ok, so maybe its a slightly overly dramatic example, but still if you have a website the best thing you can do to drive traffic is promote it yourself. In fact....why is your website not linked to your profile??? I did not even know you have a website. Google indexes this site virtually every day...a link to your site here means yours gets indexed along with it...and ITS FREE.!! The business directory on my website performs the same benefit, only better since its a real advertisement for your business...also Free. And there dozens of others that you can use as well. I do have a customer in northern Ohio who uses the Google Adwords service, and says it runs him about $700 a month...A ridiculous sum of money if you ask me, he thinks its helping him. I have serious doubts.
