Hi Dave, I had the same problem with my machine when I bought it new, along with some other problems. Anyhow, what I ended up doing is having a technician come out to fix all of the problems, including the trimmer (and wiper blade) problem. Turns out...not only was my trimmer not adjusted correctly, but the end of the wiper blade had broken off and needed to be replaced. I asked the Tech when he was out how likely it would be that I could just do this myself the next time I had a problem with the trimmer. He told me that they could walk me through it over the phone and I had actually tried that already, but since I'm pretty new to embroidery, it would be best to just have a Tech do it. He said that it's "next to impossible" to do it yourself anyhow. In my tool box that came with my machine when it was new, was the replacement part for the wiper. The Technician did put that new part in and showed me how to do it myself, but it is unlikely I'll do it myself in the future after seeing a "Pro" do it. He also adjust my timing and all of the tension knobs. He was here for hours, but when he left, my machine ran right. By the way, since I'd had my machine only a few months, SWF did waive the Service Fee for the Technician, which I was very happy about! Good luck to you! -Sue [Edited on 8/16/07 by 4color1girl] ____________________ Sue Kempf Artist | |
