| I have a National N4819G Dryer. The bearings on the end of the shaft were making terrible noises. I took them off to replace them and found that on one end the bearing had not been tight enough so it cut about a 2 ink section about an eigth of an inh deep in the shaft. Now the new bearing won't fit and if I put it on it will not be centered on the shaft due to the wear. I hope this makes since. Anyone ever had this problem or any suggestions ofhow to fix it? I don't know what is on the inside of the dryer that the shaft may be attached to or I would take it out and turn it around because on the other end the bearing would fit an area where the pit is not. pkslink@aol.com | |
