I've been using a dip tank for about 3 years now and I find it saves me time since I do 5 screen at one time. The only problem I have is that my Easistrip seems to deactivate itself after about 9 months. Then I have to pony up $225 for 10 gallons of Easistrip. And yes I add 1 gallon Easistrip every so often to "freshin" up the mix. I recently switched to Ulano #44 emulsion remover in the powder form. For $32.00 I got a 1 lb of this stuff and mixed it with about 20 gallons of water. It will reclaim my screens in about 3 minutes. However, the only problem I'm noticing is that I'm starting to get some ghosting (haze) on the screens. Even though I pre-wash the screens with Easisov 701 to remove the ink. And I also degrease with 701 after I wash the emulsion out. I'm at a cross roads now because I'm considering going back to the Easistrip since it seemed to stop the ghosting on my screens. ____________________ --> PriceIT Master - the best in shop management software! --> Workhorse 6/6 - our manual press --> Have you seen our training video? http://www.houstonscreenprint.com/training.htm | |
