His @ss should have been gone a long time ago. We do not allow headphones or loud music for a few reasons. Communication is a must and I need for people to be able to hear what I am telling them. Also, if the machine starts making a funny noise, I need them to notice it. Your ears are your best tool for finding problems early. Cell phones, that is a PITA issue. I can't stand people using them while they are printing and I get on them about it. The best option, when they come in, collect production employees' cell phones and place them in your desk drawer. If it is an emergency, the people calling can call a land line. That will solve your problem instantly. And yes, the market is rich right now with people eager to work.
