Knock one head out of whack a bit, tighten one reg bolt too much on one side or even put a ding in the registration block and you will need to realign the press and while it may not be a big job if just a few small things got off, you still have to do it. With the Antec Legend it does not matter if anything got off or bent. It will still hold perfect registration on all heads even with all of them down. And I own a Workhorse so I know about them.

And if you are using your workhorse press in all heads down mode and you have made adjustments to the registration system due to normal wear and you do not dial the press back in, it may seem like all is well and working fine but you are putting undue stress on other parts of the machine and will cause them to wear out faster.

Physics will tell you that if you have more than one head and they are designed to be fixed in their degree setting of the circle, everything must be perfect for more than one at a time to lock down into a gate without imposing stress one one or more parts. It is that simple and you can not get out of that fact. Antec gets around this by allowing the heads to float and change their degree angle relationship in relation to the press. They then come down into two independent registration gates. This insure every head always register perfect on every pallet even with all the heads down and to do so with ever imposing any stress on any part of the machine.

So that is WTF.
