I'm guessing your bathtub, shower stall, or a utility-room sink aren't options.

You're right that the ground isn't the place for untreated industrial waste.
Such noble concern deserves even a belated response.

TEMPORARY OPTION:
Get a 55gal plastic drum (clean) and cut off the top. Fashion a grate to keep your screen from falling in and catch the waste water. Safely tote the drum to a nearby waste-water drain before it gets to heavy and dispose of accordingly. Request a MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET for your emulsion from the supplier of it for further info.
