Simply put, a print shop is really no place for young children regardless of how "safe" you think you can make it for a few reasons. If your talking children under 10-12 years old I would never allow them into the production area for extended time periods except to vist. 1) The cost to do this is two fold. The initial cost to make it that way. Then the cost in lost productivity as you work around all the child safe modifications you made. It will inherintly reduce your production to a standstill and that will cost in ways you cant imagine. 2) Despite your best efforts to reduce the risks at some point children will be children and "explore" the places you thought were not accessable. Heaven forbid they ever ingest or expose themself to a hazardous product and.....? Are you prepared to deal with those consequences? A print shop is not a safe place for some adults, and considering the amount of heated surfaces, hazardous chemicals and more I cant see any point in such a project. I cant even begin to imagine the legal liabilities you could have should even a small accident happen.
