both will work just fine for most screen printing applications. inkjet produces a more contrasted film but cost a lot more to operate, laser can produce great positives, negatives and CTP when adjusted properly. inkjets are favorable for tranfer printing and color proofing, laser is more widely used in other forms of printing for replacing the dark room. offset printers use lasers for ctp(computer to plate). pad printers and stamp makers use them for creating positives. both inkjet an laser were not created for industrial use. this is the reason we use after market ink systems and battle shreakage. we are using these printers for things that they were not made for. for professional printing, pre press, production, an image setter is mandatory. using inkjets and lasers are fine for starting off. and a lot of large successful shops are using these. but the right tools for the job gets it done right the first time. every time.
