Hi Ivan thanks for your response, Their website is www.dgs-net.it. There is a demo but you need to contact them to get a temporary key to use it. The software handles 256 colors, and is made for the textile industry. You can bring in a photoshop tif in index color and I suppose you could make the substrate "layer" black and go from there, but the software has no special considerations for typical T-shirt printing. We print large format papers (white) and then transfer the paper to the fabric which is white also, wherein the sublimation ink actually dyes the fabric through the heat process (ie. dye sublimation). Oh well, I was hoping for some input on halftone creation, which I have been doing for 4 years, but there are so many variables in this business when you're alone trying to troubleshoot, with the screens, the fabric, the software....
