True story here... I had a sales person and a book keeper who literally cost me $200,000 a year and I NEVER knew it before Fast Manager! My sales person would get overwelmed with the daily workload and leave everyday before she would write up orders and get them to my artist to start the production process. Time would go by and the customer would call looking for thier stuff and then she would start panicking because she then remebered she dropped the ball on this order. She'd then go straight to my production staff and say something like, "can you do this order right now because the customer is coming in later today to pick them up and I need it ready for them!" Of course my staff would do it and of course she would would never have a work order filled out so there was no invoice made up so my customer would come in and get thier stuff and leave and never pay for it because none of the paperwork was ready because she was too busy trying to make sure the order was done before the customer came in. Eventually she would NEVER turn in the paperwork because she would forget because the same thing would happen again the next day and so the order NEVER gets invoiced...she was too busy doing the same thing each day and it was just cycling out of control....I never knew any of this was going on because there were no tracking mechanisms in place when you are on a "paper" system....if there is no paper than there is no tracking! Then I had a book keeper who would not properly make out invoices and/or bill invoices for the wrong amounts...worse yet never bill orders all together because she lost the paperwork on her desk! Here's where FastManager came in (i started the program in late january of this year).... every job has a work order number. No order can be done in the system without getting one. No order can be processed without adresses and phone numbers and clear concise pricing. The pricing is automatic due to the parameters I set up in the pricing part of the program when I bought it....orders are actually written with PROFIT in them! So, this past July I looked at the job board in Fast Manager and noticed 88 orders that were in the DONE status but still not invoiced! At this point in July we had already done just over 1000 orders. 90% of those 88 orders were orders from mid June back to January when I first installed the program. $101,000 worth of orders that would have never got billed in the old paper system....and that was just 6 months into the year! The real question people have to ask themselves is can they afford to NOT have Fast Manager. PS: neither the sales rep nor the book keeper work for me anymore! | ||
