I've also just received art from a customer's graphic artist. I suppose it was probably created in Photoshop - then he exported to .eps for me. I can open it up in Illustrator - and it "appears" to be all vector - with paths/nodes, etc... but then When I save as a version 8 .eps, and open it up in CorelDraw - I see that it is indeed, RGB Bitmapped color blocks with paths/masks on top - giving visibility to what I want to see... (And - yes - I was wondering why 8-9 paths, grouped, were 25Mb in size!) My issue, now is - Arrgh! How can I convert those to simple, regular old vector paths? I don't have much more hair to turn grey (and what's not turned grey, has turned loose!) When I try to do a trace on the objects, it opens up the trace dialog, but then the object is simply a rectanglular block - and the node mask has disappeared... Clear as mud? I may resort to doing screen-shots of each portion, and using something simple, like Inkscape to convert to vector... any other ideas to doing this in Illy or Corel? Thanks, Rex S. | |
