You're in vector territory, not raster ( bitmap ). I don't bother with that tool much, but, if I recall, it will erase parts of a compound path, not a group of seperate paths. Uh..an example would be the letter 'O', as curves, not text. You have an outer object black, and an inner object, white, that are combined into a compound path, hence, all one, and black. You could erase part of that, once you select it. I'm sure someone here uses that tool more than I have. ____________________ WYSIWYG | |
