I too suffered headaches and losses (read $$$) because of colour differences until I was told to set the ICC profiles in all my software to the same. REVELATION! That's all it took. I now use Adobe RGB in Photoshop, Illustrator and FastArtist. You can find out how in the support videos. I wish I had been told to do that right from the start, like in the setup instructions maybe?
