Your first issue is not a MAC issue. It is a Xante issue. If it were a Mac issue, the problem would present at all times, so let's get past the OS BS and get to the nuts and bolts... First, when sending multiple color separations, especially process printing, you are printing 4 sheets. That means continued heat buildup non-dissipating through the print, so by the time you get to the fourth page, more constriction occurs. To make matters worse, you sent the seps together, probably, so an unknown thing happens... Xante has to use its onboard memory to hold all the pages in a buffer and then distribute them. You will get a constriction every time when you expend too much memory in separations. Part, not all, of what you are seeing is a sort of truncation. Answer... try printing one sheet at a time. Cool down. Print again. Another... try printing the seps in a backward order. Xante does this kind of stuff. It has for 10 years. That is why I am so surprised that they still have business in this industry. Their tech support people cannot give you a clue. Forget begging for an answer. You have a twofold problem: heat and rip/buffer drag times leading to truncation. Also, depending on software used, especially if you are using Corel, then your nightmare is threefold. Corel sometimes has trouble interpreting process print and sending it correctly through to a printer on multiple pages. Good luck. ____________________ Dale Hensarling | ||
