| I have begrudgingly moved from a 3000 to a 4880 and I hate it. The bulk ink system is retarded. The waterproof film roll is expensive and we are still trying to figure out how to print a job without wasting a bunch of film. Additionally, FastRip 9.0HD is made for the 4800 so it's been a big pain to make it work on the 4880...emails and patches to USScreen and still it doesn't work right. I would say get your 3000 fixed if you can. I have two 3000's but my Fast Rip 7.0 quit working after 5 years. Now my 3000's are just large paperweights, unless I can find new homes for them. I would say, unless you are doing very high end printing, the 4880 isn't worth the trouble. However, if you find that it works well for you, would you PLEASE email me so I can ask you for help since it seems to be too complicated for me. Thanks. | ||
