Gee... where to begin... oh yeah, not with the machine. Let's start first with digitizing. Where you tell a needle to go it should go. If you are talking about twill appliques, then let's assume you get those digitized at Stahls on in house. The thread density is set. Just run the job. I think most machines can do this work. Same with everyday stuff. Now, as to 'puffy stuff', begin first with high densities. Most machines can handle that, too.
