Ok.. latest update. I assembled a Win98 machine and loaded Embird. It was able to "successfully format" a Melco SS disk. Then I had Embird load an EXP design to the disk. Everything looked good based on everything I have been told (if the program recognizes the disk drive it should work). I took the disk to my Superstar and READ DISK and the response was .... BAD SECTORS. Ok .. so I know my OS can do the deed now but something else is wrong. So I formatted (DISK F) the disk on the Superstar and then put it into the computer and transferred the design to the disk from Embird, put the disk back into the Superstar, READ DISK... Bad Sectors. THIS SUCKS > Ok.. so now I am building a 486 120 mhz with a seperate floppy controller. No clue what chipset cause I have not looked. I already called Melco and they basically said "sorry about your luck" and that they have no floppy controllers (wonder if Tajima does??). Basically at this point if this 486 does not work, I am going to start selling stuff on eBay to get the money to buy the Masis interface box. I was hoping the machine would earn the money to buy this but apparently it takes money to make money. Anybody interested in a Breakmate machine or a rust free 1985 Cavalier Convertible??? How about a Kawasaki JS300? My Toys are NOW for sale
