Per Rex Tillerson, Exxon-Mobil CEO, on the Today show 5/15/08: When asked about gas prices and it's affect on consumers his response was: "As a corporation, Exxon-Mobil's primary obligation is to our shareholders, not the consumers. Our obligation to our shareholders is provide maximum return for their investment." This may not be the exact wording but this is very darned close. The transcripts may be available online. | |
