I would expect a business owner to know the difference between a profit and a profit margin. The oil companies profit margins never changed. They make 8% profit on their product. The federal and state governments make around 19% on a gallon of gas in taxes. I have a problem with that. The major oil companies never changed profit margins, the cost of goods went up, so they increased prices to match but left profit margins the same. Is this really that hard to figure out? You're looking for somebody to blame, unfortunately the last place you look is the democratic party. The same one that controls congress, yeah, the same one that has nearly half the approval rating of Bush. I thought they were supposed to lower the cost of gas right after they took office, at least that is what Nancy Pelosi said. That worked out really well for us. The only way to drop the price of gas is to drill here in the states. There is no alternative fuel, none, nothing compares to gas, at least not yet. The technology isn't there yet. At this point we NEED gas. We HAVE to find our own otherwise we are at the mercy of middle eastern countries that have the utmost disdain for western civilization. ____________________ replaprints.com | ||
