BRIDGE THE GAP?!?! You wanna "Bridge the Gap" get an f-ing job. A legitimate, honest job. The problem is what you are talking about is taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Screw that, I earn my money, I want to keep all I can for me. If I want to make contributions, I will and I do. But it should be my choice. How do you want to bridge that gap? The top 15 of income earners pay over 38% of the total federal income tax revenue. The bottom 40% pay exactly 0%. The bottom 50% pay exactly 3.8% I'd say that is already tipped in their favor. I wish I could find the exact quote I was looking for. It went something like If a law exists that takes from one group and gives to another what could not have been done legally, then this law should be stricken from the books.
