Yes, there are plenty of people, black white, red ect who have rose from the ashes of proverty to make something of themselves, but it is much easier to become rich if you are born that way. Senator Obama was not born rich and I admire him for what he has accomplished in his life. For the record, my candidate is not Obama, but to dismiss the legitamcy of a person because of his race is racist. I did not choose to support Clinton because she is a woman either. I think they call that social ignorace.. sexist. However, I will support Senator Obama if he wins the nomination and it certainly looks that way. Belive it or not, drug dealing is a way of life for the poor and no it is not an exclusive race thing either, BUT if you look around there are a hell of lot more non whites living in those conditions than there are whites. We are a country of privilege and until we can bridge the gap between the rich and poor, whites and non whites, we will continue the plunge into a second rate country. | |
