Jon,

The Franmar One Step (used in dip tanks) is a strong reclaimer with soaps that lift inks from the screen so it is easier to rinse with your pressure washer. No brand can mix an ink degrader with a reclaimer - the chemistry will not work. This also means that you will not see your ink dissolve.

With any brand of a one step product, you need to thoroughly card out the ink before putting the screen into the tank. And then after pressure washing, you can use an ink degrader or dehazer to take care of any ink that is still adhered to bare mesh or the frame.

If you choose to remove the ink before dipping into the tank (which is still a time saver because you can reclaim multiple screens at once) be sure to rinse any ink degrader solvent completely from the screen as it will affect the dip tank chemical if you mix them together.

I hope this helps (whatever brand you use!).
