Yellow (or other dyed color) mesh is more expensive as the mesh must be dyed after weaving. This is known as "conventional dyed" mesh. This requires an additional post weaving process to color the mesh using special pressure-cooker type equipment which disperses the color agent from the inside core of the mesh outwards. This must then be followed by final finishing process to insure the mesh meintains all of it's specified parameters. Thus the higher price to cover the additional manufacturing costs.

Mesh coloring can also be accomplished by dying the yard before weaving. However this process, known as "spun dyed" mesh, has proven inferior to conventional dyed mesh in both stencil adhesion charactistics and most importantly, in light scatter properties (which is the sole reason for dying mesh in the first place).

Additionally, your short list of mesh brands is exactly that - short. You really need to consider both SEFAR and NBC meshes, as they are at least equal and considered by many to be superior to the names you mention.
