Most reclaiming problems are caused by under exposed stencils. Stencil removers attack the cross links made during exposure. Coat a small area of a sacrifice screen and expose it to 3 or 4 times your current exposure, then try to reclaim it. Do a stepped exposure test that is longer than your usual and reclaim that. You may see a difference in how the stencil reclaims. Some concentrated stencil removers don't penetrate as well as 'straight' stencil remover mixed at the factory. A stronger mix will not help it penetrate faster, just as taking 6 asprins will not make your headache go away faster. The other most common cause of hard to remove stencil is letting the stencil remover dry. If it dries, the molecules that were ready to break away from the mesh bond again and stencil remover can't break that bond - it's time for the razor blade. ____________________ Richard Greaves, ASPT Ulano Corp.
