Just as an FYI, we use UV restricting fluorescent bulbs in our screen fabrication facilities rather than protective sleeves, but either will serve the purpose as long as you restrict the appropriate UV range mentioned by Dave Dennings. The bulbs we use are GE F32T8/GO GOLD bulbs. These are specifically built for industrial applications such as printing, darkrooms, semiconductor, etc., and restrict a very wide range of UV. In our main facility alone, we use numerous different direct emulsions and Capillary films from a handful of different formulators, involving diazo, dual-cure and SBQ photochemistries and the aforementioned bulbs do a nice job of protecting all of these materials. These bulbs appear to be available thru common industrial supply locations, such as MSC or Grainger (http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/itemDetailsRender.shtml?xi=xi&ItemId=1613545491) or other GE specialty lamp suppliers. There may also be alternate UV restricting fluorescent bulbs available from other lamp manufacturers, but I have no specific information on either those, or the tube shields. I hope this information is useful. [Edited on 4/13/06 by screen_guy] | ||
