Everyone here is very helpful and I have read all the past posts on puff embroidery. I just can't get consistent results from my machines. I can get decent 2mm & 3mm puff but can't seem to get it any higher or get it to cut clean. sometimes mine is smashed down and doesn't look very puffed and other times I can get it puffed but it is ragged and doesn't break clean. I buy my foam from MIM....should I be buying from somewhere else? I also have been using the Organ titanium needles and still get (seemlingly) lots of needle breaks. I have trouble with birdnesting whenever I do puff, but that doesn't seem consistent either. I have one design I have had re-digitized, run it 1,000 times. Sometimes it runs like a champ and other times I want to take a baseball bat to the machine. What my customer wants is 4mm, 5mm or bigger. Pacific Headwear is his new supplier for puff........I know I can do this.....I am not stupid. It just feels like there is something I am missing and if I could watch this process from start to finish I might see what I am doing wrong.I promise I won't be a total PITA, just give me a look behind the curtain!
Thanks
