quote: Well, I kind of find that to be no real suprise for a couple of reasons. First if your printing on 100% polyester garments you really need to use a LB-Poly ink. Rutland makes a series called the ML-Low Bleed inks. Designed for 50/50 or poly garments to reduce bleeding. Your best bet is to use the ML-Dyno inks (Gray~White) and over print with your intended color choice. If you did not use a print-flash-print methode , again bleeding will be almost un-avoidable. This is especialy true if you did not very carefully watch dryer temps....since polyester will get very hot in your dryer rather quickly you should always make proper tempurature and belt speed adjustments to ensure the garment temps do not exceed 320 degrees...or agin bleeding will occure. The last note of advice is one few people think much about. Reducers can, and will effect how well an ink will resist bleeding. Soft Hand, Base Extenders, Curable Reducers and most others will almost always reduce the inks bleed resistance....So ok its easier to print, but it does not help you if the ink bleeds. The most overlooked thing about making ink easy to print is to stir the ink for a good long time. This is especially true of white ink, athletic inks, and low bleed inks as they all will "body up" while sitting. Also make sure the inks are not cold from sitting in your shop. If the air temps are to low the ink will thicken dramaticly, making manual printing next to impossable. Adding reducers may help with printablity but its the wrong solution to the problem. Keep your ink in a small heated room at about 75-80 and you will find them much easier to work with. ____________________ www.calibratedsps.com - Screen Printing Equipment - Supplies - Online Store ![]() Providing 7-Days A Week Toll Free Customer Support For Every Product Sold ![]() Printers Forums Equipment Classifieds Tutorials Employment Listings
