Actually suede has a shelf life as well, about 12 months. I was never told that the puff additive had a shelf life so that was why I bought a gallon 3 years ago. Last job we did was probably about a year or so ago and it was fine. Yesterday we tried a print with 5 colors, 4 that had puff additive w/varying amounts from 3%-30%. There was little if no puff action. Puff base was stirred very well in the ink and we tried different heat settings with the same lousy result. That was when I got on the horn with my supplier and then PolyOne Corp, which they confirmed that it does have a shlef life. Are you using Flex Puff or Nu Puff, though I don't know if it matters with shelf life?-Doug | ||
