Oops! thats my mistake. I forgot that the thicker locking strip is in 50 ft rolls instead of the old 75'. At $88.53 thats $1.77 per foot. The 23 x 31 frame actually has two 15.25" lengths and two 23.5" lengths of strip. The strip only runs exactly between end plugs. Thats 77.5 total inhces per frame. So lets see...77.5" / 12"= 6.45 feet per frame @ $1.77 per foot = $11.41 per frame. Dang...we were both off! That missing 25 feet makes a difference. But thats still not a bad deal at all considering the price of these frames and the fact that you will make back your investment...in just one cycle of re-use. By that I mean...if you were using stretch and glue frames, the day the mesh gets slack enough to have them re-meshed.....you would spend at leat $10-12 per frame just for mesh and a few dollars more for labor, not to mention shipping. When you cut your locking strips, I would suggest getting a $10 pair of fiskers soft touch scissors. You can cut the point at each end like butter...with little or no hand effort. With any other scissors...you will break the scisssors and your hands in about five frames of cutting. or ...you could make a deal with stretch to provide you with pre-cut strips. they have been known to do this. they have a machine that does it quick.
