10 years ago, I would have said Flormel 3" clear...but that's gone now. the blue 3" r-tape is great, but costly...not as costly as that white solvent-resistant you're using though...we use that on newly stretched wooden frames to protect the glue and staples, and it is forever.

If you reclaim every job though, start with a good masking tape and try 'em all until you find one you like. Adhesive residue will kill you on some.
