Hello NorthernScreener, First let me address the used frame issue. Stretch Devices has been making the Newman frames for over 30 years now. Many generations of the frames have come and gone. However, because they have been built so well there are still many printers using the older generation frames successfully. Please be aware that aquiring used Newman frames could result in a mis-mash of these generations of frames which will result in needing different tools (or not getting the right tools)or tension levels. A shop needing (100) Newmans should be using the Newman Roller Master (also made by Stretch Devices) which is an automatic stretcher and operates on air. This is a much easier and quicker way to stretch your Newmans. You WILL NOT need to wait hours after each stretching as per the previous post. Put your mesh in the frame as normal, put it on the FLAT Newman Roller Master, attach the wrenches, turn the air on, leave on for 2 minutes, lock bolts and you are DONE! It is also important to know that ONLY the newer generation Newman Frames will work on the Newman Roller Master. If you still prefer to stretch the frames manually, then go to this link to download the instructions. http://stretchdevices.com/Support/support.html Select the "english version" of "Quick Stretch" Instructions for Newman Roller Frames with 4 Rollers As for tension levels...30/ncm (and uniform) should be your minimum. This is where the used frames may pose a challenge. Either way you look at it, you're making an investment on the frames. I would re-think the used frames idea unless you are lucky to find (100) of the new generation frames. Feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns. ____________________ George Maanao Newman Roller Frames Mfg by Stretch Devices, Inc.
