If you've purchased your frames BRAND NEW over the last couple of years from an authorized Newman Dealer, than you more than likely have the new Ultra-Lights. The Ultra-Lights are approx. 25% lighter and approx. 40% stronger than the previous generation. We have discontinued making the older generation frames so ALL Newman frames come standard as Ultra-Lights. You didn't say what size frame you had but by saying that it is an "auto" as well weighing "7 lbs" than you probably have either an M3-UL 23"x31"OD or M3-UL 23"x33" size frame. In which case, the Ultra-Lights at those sizes are just under the 7 lbs.
