I fired a screen guy for doing just that. His lazy ass didn't want to retension nor make new screens so he lowered the tension across the board. My 180's sit at 32n and he had then down at 24n.. they don't break as much he said.

It's all in the handling of the screens and letting the staff know how important it is to handle them carefully.
