Royce, Here is how I come to my % for commission. say you sell 1000 bic pens for 1.00 each, that is on a (A) so you profit is 50% You pay your sales rep 15% of gross so that is 150 bucks right there. The take out the 500 bucks for product that is 650 bucks out of 1000. So that is only 350 left for the house on that order...you figure out all the over head, taxes and insurances that really does not leave a lot for company profit. I would like to know how you would figure out a good commission for a sales rep for your company.
