The case you have outlined has nothing to do with being a friend or not.....Certainly different skill levels of employees lead to different commission structuress..... And as far as expenses.....If he is out on the road, he will have expenses....If the employer pays these expenses, the commissions can be less....If the employee has to pay them, the commission needs to be higher... As far as commissions, generally the split is based on profit not selling price....Give me 15% of an order you do not make money on and I am happy but you are not.... As far as house generated leads, there would be a different split with the house getting a little extra for generating the lead....You are right that closing a sale for the house has less value than closing a sales outside... ____________________ Royce Schmidt (from Canada, eh!) | |
