| We phased out of the team/league niche several years ago after dominating the local scene for years. They got to be too much of a PITA and we found better returns on our time. We saw the movement from league shirts and caps to individual sponsors on shirts and/or caps to the team logo/name being embroidered on caps with the kids' name and number also embroidered. What used to be the league of 600 kids which comprised about 50 orders of 12 had devolved to 600 orders of 1. So little Johnny now gets a fitted cap with team name & his name and number embroidered, a specific size shirt with a team sponsor imprinted, specific number and name on the back, pants of a specific size and socks of a specific size. Then there are the parents who didn't go to sign up and guessed (wrong) at their kids size, the ones who ruin or lose parts of the uniforms and so on ad nauseum. We spent the initial time prepping and running the order then the next six weeks of the season filling in and adding on. For what - four bucks here and five there? I know there are a lot of people who enjoy this type of business and are able to lever some of the sponsorships into orders and I respect that path - it's just not for us at this point in time.
