How does everyone handle large jobs for out-of-state customers? For the second time this month, I've gotten an order for more than a thousand dollars from a customer in a different state, and she seems to think that all I need from her is her address and a verbal "Yeah, go ahead and run it!" and I'll ship it right off! I asked for a credit card and she said she'd prefer to send a check. If she drags her feet any longer the deadline will come and go. I don't want her to suspect that I have my doubts about getting paid, but I also don't want to do the job for free. (And, if she does intend to pay I can really use the work...) Is there a better way to discreetly handle this? I guess I could play hard ball and tell her if she doesn't mail it today I'll cancel the "order"... Maybe I'm just wanting to rant because I'm annoyed. I think I'll order a thousand dollars worth of screen supplies online and tell them I'll be sure to mail them a check for it one of these days...LOL ____________________ http://www.endangerous.com/micro.html | |
