It took me about 6 months in this business to realize that when a customer says "we are one shirt short" that does not mean that we shorted them one shirt, that means that they did not order enough. When this happens, we do whatever it takes to make the cusomer happy, but not without making a big fuss over things (like telling them they will have to call back so that we can see if we still have the screens, and just generally not making it easy on the customer). I want customers to realize that they can not just "need one more shirt" us. Also, when customers give us orders for quantities like 63 shirts or 7 large and 12 small, it is easy to recognize that they are ordering an exact quanity for an exact quantity of users. That means that they will ALLWAYS be short because somone is ALWAYS going to want a different size or a second shirt or a shirt for their grandpa. So, we allways recomend that the customer get a couple extra of each size and explain to them exactly how much money that is going to save them and why. If they refuse, then I don't feel bad about charging out the rear when they come back for "one more", and usually they don't complain because they were warned. | |
