When we print caps I just run them through about the center of the belt facing the elements. If the top is getting hotter than the sides, do you perhaps have one of the top elements on? I generally don't worry if the temp on caps is not at 320 people don't wash them to often so the ink will stay on even if the temp is not right on the money.
