Here's a potential "heads-up" for any of you still using older TUF presses with plug-in style timing relays. I bought a replacement timer for my press. The new timer is a solid state device and it replaces the 8 pin, plug-in style relay. The timer came with a 500 ohm resistor (which is wired in series with the load terminals). When I first installed it, I couldn't get any time delay.... I replaced the 500 ohm resistor with 2500 ohms and now the timer works correctly. I'm not sure if the required amount of resistance is a function of the style of FESTO controller I have?.... Anyways.... if you have an older press, you may run into this issue when your timers need to be replaced. [Edited on 4/5/08 by Cheap-T] | ||
